My Fall Favorites

Hi Y’all ……… How’s your Fall??

There’s nothing like knowing company is coming …….to motivate me to

finish my  immediate decorating projects; such as decorating for fall.

My Sis and husband planned a fall trip to visit their friends and relatives in the south.

Distance keeps us apart and it had been two years since we got to giggle together in person.

No matter how old we get, we giggle and have even been known to be pranksters when we get together.

How exciting ……. my house….  first stop.  I was so busy getting ready, I didn’t take time to blog much.

Their visit has come and gone.  boo hoo.  It went by so quickly.

I was so glad they were here for our dad’s birthday celebration.

Because of their visit, I can say my harvest, fall, autumn décor is now done, inside and out.

Just kidding…. I’m sure I will rearrange or find something else that I just have to do to complete the season’s decorating.

I may have added a leaf or two since I last photographed this mantel arrangement.

I made the banner from an old drop cloth.  The letters were done with a magic marker.

The banner is hot glued over twine to string it all together.. very easy and quick project.

If you need more instructions, let me know. I may be an expert now.

I made three …. one for each mantel.

Outdoor pumpkins… Pumpkins sitting in two grapevine wreaths…. sitting on a grapevine wreath.

Three wreaths for each urn. There are lights in the pumpkins that show up nicely at night.

Cornstalks and mums go so well with pumpkins.

Even the tobacco basket takes on a fall  look.

Fall tapestry…. Had this for years and still loving it.

My Chalkboard art. A fun project..

My fall watercolor to frame and hang. Finished just in time.

I am usually a neutral kind of girl ……  happy with whites, beiges,  etc.  but I can’t resist soaking in the autumn  beauty

from God’s masterstroke of palette and brush and in my small way mirroring those colors in our home.

Happy Fall… Y’all
