Tis the season to be jolly!
What if this season is not
Ho ho ho and although you go through the tradition of doing what you always do and you are
decking the halls, but the Fa La La La La’s have taken time off?
……………………….So we sing…….. a song ….of hope
And suddenly there was with the angels a multitude of the heavenly host
praising God and saying,
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!”
For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord
We live in a dark world that desperately needs light. The birth of Jesus Christ, who is God’s salvation,
brought the light that offers hope to a world of despair.
For many people, the Christmas season means nothing more than parties, gifts, decorations, and time off from work.
For Christians, however, this time of year is a happy reminder of the hope we have because of Jesus Christ.
Hope means that even when it looks like it’s all over, it’s not all over yet.
Christ means hope—to the person out of work, to the struggling single mother, to the dying believer.
Even when we are struggling through the disappointments of life, if we have Jesus, we have hope.
And he is not a false hope, a fairy tale that we wish will have a happy ending.
Our hope in him is solid and it is real.
Christmas is a renewal of that hope.
So we sing……………….
