English Supper

The colorful plaid in my Christmas decorating scheme

this year was an inspiration for a English/ Welch

supper menu.

Mr. Finely Done will have to go a long way to top his recent culinary skills that

produced a masterpiece meal from beginning to end.

Celebrating the season with a couple of friends, he volunteered to plan the menu

……….. and be the chef for the sumptuous meal.

Not only did he succeed, but he succeeded superbly.

Menu

Standing rib roast

Tugboat turnips

Roasted Brussels spout

Roasted garlic potatoes

Yorkshire pudding

Apple crumb pie a la mod

wine and coffee

Before the meal…… we sung a verse of “God rest ye merry gentlemen.”

Look at this party-on-a-plate

Each of us had an Christmas cracker….. inside was a party hat, joke and surprise.

British Joke…….

“What kind of ears does an engine have?”

Give up? Are you ready for the answer?

ENGINEER.

Nothing says party like paper hats.

After supper we gathered around the piano and sang Christmas Carols

An evening with a theme……What fun!
