There was a brief interruption of life at the cottage. We headed north, three plus hours away, for Thanksgiving with the family.
The day after was spent decorating the main house for Christmas.
Black Friday was NOT a shopping day, but a taking down and putting up day.
Only two days to pack away the fall decorations and adorn the house with Christmas……….. inside and out.
One last look at the fall dining room.
Saying, hello to Christmas
Ahhh, the dining room, a favorite room to decorate.
Perhaps it’s the anticipation of sharing wonderful, warm meals with family and friends over the holiday.
Perhaps, it’s the toasting of the season to good times, good food, good fellowship.
It’s the shutting out of the loudness of the world and enjoying
the quietness and beauty of the season.
Bringing the Christmas Spirit into each room.
The miracle of Christmas
Love that gave a spirit of hope and born of a babe, giving light to the darkness of humanity.
“Joy to the World the Lord has come.”
Peace on Earth, good will to men
The true Spirit of Christmas……hope, love, joy and peace.
All is calm and all is bright.
