So how was your valentine’s day? Want to hear about mine?
Sure you do.
We celebrated a day later because of obligations on Valentine’s Day.
But good things come to those who wait.
And was it good….over the top good…. good and more good.
ok enough already. Let’s get to it.
Is anything more romantic for us ladies than having a
Valentines day dinner prepared for us at home by the in house chef?…
Mr. Finely Done enjoys cooking . I don’t mean ordinary everyday cooking….
That’s what I do. (Bor- ing)
His creative meals are much more elaborate. When he suggested that he prepare
a dinner at home to celebrate Valentine’s Day…. I was all in.
Anytime I don’t have to wait in a crowed restaurant or cook the meal, I won’t be complaining.
Don’t even mine doing the dishes.
I am not territorial about the kitchen at all. I am perfectly content to decorate the
table or lend a hand when he needs help in the kitchen, which is very rare.
He is organize and detailed when he’s preparing the meal and everything
is done perfectly on time, not too soon and not too late..
And to add to the fun, I texted an invite to our go-to-for-a-food-adventure couple.
The reply “Sure, we love his experiments,” and an added “I THINK.”
The theme ……Portuguese ……..…. for no particular reason at all than he is traveling to these
countries……… by food…..much cheaper than buying airline tickets.
Come fly with me as I give a recap of the meal.
Portuguese Pumpkin Paella
Frango a’moda Do Alentejana
Caramel Almond Cake
While he was doing all that, I was doing all this.
We put it together and it looked like this.
And that, my friends, wraps up Valentine’s 2014.
Gotta go pack for the next country….. wonder where that might be….
